The Breaker Upperers (2019) - Dank Master Stoned Movie Review
Written and Directed by Madeleine Sami and Jackie van Beek.
Starring Madeleine Sami, Jackie van Beek, James Rolleston…
Well, I think you HAVE to be high for this one.
A New Zealand movie about two totally crazy women who run a ridiculous business and run into some really interesting people.
First test, will I make it past the first act without falling asleep or getting bored?
Let’s find out!
Well, yes, it passes the first test, I am wide awake and wondering what the fuck has gotten into these two lunatics… I wonder how deep does the crazy run?
I like the accents and I like that it’s not Hollywood, because I just tried reviewing another movie and didn’t make it to the second act- lame! I also like that they still speak English even though it’s foreign because it was a different style, but still understandable.
There is one character I could do without… see if you can guess which one in the comments.
And I saw a review on Google saying that it was weirdly sexist, yes it definitely was, but I expect that from movies with women stars these days.
You can’t just make movies with women cast? You have to make all the men in it completely retarded? Whatever...
Well, I wasn’t offended until I saw someone else was offended. I was more annoyed. I’m always annoyed at dumb characters unless they are written and performed by an amazing actor.
It passed the test of finishing watching the entire movie! Wow, that says a lot right there.
Over all, one main character was really fun and interesting, the other was a tad of a pain in the ass, and add a total moron supporting character, but it did make for an interesting, wild ride, which is what we want from a movie, right?
A peek into the world of cray cray for sure.
